Accommodation at Vine House
Our small size allows for a more informal, relaxed and homely environment where everything is so much more personable and friendly.
We currently provide a service for up to 17 residents. In total, we have 14 unique bedrooms; 10 single rooms as well as 4 double rooms for couples or friends to share. Normally however, these are occupied singularly. 5 bedrooms are on the ground floor, of which 3 have popular direct garden access. 12 of our bedrooms have an ensuites, while the remaining 2 bedrooms have vanity units with a bathroom close by.
We provide ample communal space for our residents through a well-designed lounge separated into 2 separate areas, and dining room. We also have small well- maintained gardens to the front, side and rear of the Home including a raised flower bed that our residents like to use in the warmer months. These communal areas are accessible to all service users, including those in wheelchairs.
There is a passenger lift between the ground and first floor.
We have 1 assisted bath & on the 1st floor; and shower wet room on the ground floor.
Visitors may join residents in their own rooms, the lounge, sun lounge, dining room or garden. Family or friends are welcome to visit at anytime including joining our residents for lunch in the dining room or garden where place settings allow. All visitors must sign in. The signing in book can be found by the front door.
Things to Do at Vine House Midhurst
The Vine House staff establishment allows for dedicated activity staff in the afternoons Monday to Friday whenever practible.
- Crafty Fun, games afternoons including Bingo
- External Companies visit and provide specialist entertainment regularly
- Themed activity with poems, anecdotes or stories in which residents share their own thoughts and memories are common place
- Our residents have the full use of a laptop computer for email, skype and the internet. Specialist staff support is always at hand when required
- Movie showcase available most afternoons in the communal lounge
- Yoga classes and light massage are available subject to interest
- Other activities and events such as quizzes, concerts and residents’ parties are also arranged. Residents are also supported and encouraged to pursue their own hobbies and interests whenever possible
